1.Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using UniSwipe ("the Platform", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all Terms, you must immediately cease using the Platform.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and UniSwipe (registered in the Netherlands). We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which outlines how we collect and process your personal data in strict compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
3.Accounts & Eligibility
To use UniSwipe you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in your jurisdiction.
- Be currently enrolled at, or a recent graduate of, a recognised university.
- Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information.
- Maintain the security of your password and immediately notify us of any unauthorised use.
- Not create more than one account per user.
UniSwipe reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe poses a risk to other users or the Platform.
4.Tutor Obligations
By registering as a Tutor, you agree to:
- Provide truthful information about your qualifications, university, programme, and academic record.
- Submit only genuine transcripts and academic credentials for verification.
- Deliver tutoring sessions to the best of your ability and as described in your profile.
- Honour booking commitments and provide reasonable notice of cancellations.
- Comply with all applicable laws and university academic integrity policies.
- Not provide answers to assessed coursework, examinations, or assignments on behalf of students.
5.Student Obligations
By registering as a Student, you agree to:
- Use tutoring services only for legitimate academic learning and support.
- Not ask Tutors — or use the AI Tutor — to complete, write or substantially contribute to work that is assessed for credit.
- Treat Tutors with respect and not engage in any harassing or abusive behaviour.
- Pay for booked sessions promptly and through the Platform only.
- Provide honest and fair reviews of Tutors based on your genuine experience.
7.Payments & Fees
All financial transactions on UniSwipe are processed securely through Stripe. By making or receiving payments, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.
Students pay the Tutor's hourly rate plus a 3% service fee at checkout. UniSwipe also deducts a platform fee from each tutoring payment before it is paid out to the Tutor. The fee depends on the Tutor's plan:
- Basic (free): 25% platform fee.
- Premium: 15% platform fee.
- Professional: 5% platform fee.
Payment for a booking is collected when you book and held by UniSwipe. If the Tutor does not accept the booking within 48 hours, the payment is refunded automatically. Payment for hours is released to the Tutor after the Student approves those hours. Other refund requests are handled case by case; please contact us.
Tutor plans (Premium and Professional) renew automatically every month or year until cancelled. You can cancel at any time in the billing portal; the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Fees already paid are not refunded, except where consumer law requires it.
7.1 EU Right of Withdrawal
Under EU consumer law you may cancel a contract for a digital service within 14 days without giving a reason. If you book a tutoring session that takes place within those 14 days, you ask us to start before the withdrawal period ends, and you lose the right of withdrawal for a session once it has been fully performed. For AI Tutor Premium, see section 13.4.
8.User Content
By submitting content to UniSwipe (including profile descriptions, reviews, messages and uploaded documents), you give UniSwipe a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display and store that content to operate the Platform. Notes uploaded to the AI Tutor are also shared as described in section 13.3.
You warrant that any content you submit: (a) is accurate; (b) does not infringe any third-party rights; (c) does not contain defamatory, offensive, or unlawful material; and (d) complies with these Terms.
UniSwipe reserves the right to remove any content that, in our reasonable opinion, violates these Terms or applicable law.
9.Intellectual Property
All UniSwipe branding, software, design and proprietary content are the exclusive property of UniSwipe. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to users.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the Platform without our express written consent.
10.Termination
You may close your account at any time from your account settings. UniSwipe may suspend or terminate your account for any of the following reasons:
- Breach of any provision of these Terms.
- Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity.
- Failure to pay outstanding amounts owed to UniSwipe.
- Extended inactivity (accounts inactive for more than 24 months may be closed).
Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Sections 6, 9, and 11 survive termination.
11.Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, UniSwipe is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to loss of earnings, data loss, academic consequences, errors in AI-generated content, or disputes between users.
UniSwipe's total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to UniSwipe in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
12.Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Enschede, the Netherlands, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under your local law.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
Online Dispute Resolution (ODR): For consumers residing in the European Union, the European Commission provides an Online Dispute Resolution platform, which can be accessed at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
13.AI Tutor
The AI Tutor teaches university courses with lessons, practice questions, mock exams, feedback on your answers (including photos of handwritten work) and a chat tutor for each course. Its content is generated by AI models, based on course material such as past exams, notes and other documents.
13.1 Free use and Premium
The first two lessons of every course are free, with a limited number of AI messages. AI Tutor Premium unlocks every lesson, every mock exam and more AI messages for €12.99 a month, €29.99 per three months or €89.99 a year (prices include VAT). We may apply fair-use limits to protect the service.
Premium renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in your account settings; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Payment is by card through Stripe. Promotion codes apply only as stated with the code.
13.2 AI-generated content
AI can make mistakes. Lessons, answers, feedback and marks from the AI Tutor may be incomplete or wrong, and they are not official university material or official grades. Use them as study support, check important points against your course material, and follow your university's rules on the use of AI. We do not promise any exam result.
13.3 Your uploads
Notes you upload to the AI Tutor are shared with other students of the same course, without your name, so their AI tutor can use them too; this is stated when you upload. By uploading, you confirm that the notes are your own or that you are allowed to share them, and you give UniSwipe a free, non-exclusive licence to store them, use them to create study material and share them with students of that course. Before sharing, automatic checks keep files private that look like exam papers, slides or copies of other people's work, or that contain personal details. You can delete an upload at any time; it then stops being shared, although study material already created from it may remain.
Past exams you choose to share with a course are used to build that course for everyone, as described when you share them. Do not upload material you are not allowed to share. If you believe material on UniSwipe infringes your rights, email legal@uniswipe.gr and we will review it promptly.
13.4 Right of withdrawal for Premium
If you are a consumer, you can withdraw from a new AI Tutor Premium subscription within 14 days of taking it out, without giving a reason, by emailing us. We will then refund your first payment in full.
14.Affiliate Programme
Members of the affiliate programme receive a personal link. Anyone who signs up through it within 90 days of clicking it is linked to that affiliate. The affiliate earns:
- 5% of the first tutoring booking that person makes, credited once the Tutor accepts the booking.
- €5 when that person first pays for AI Tutor Premium (once per person).
Earnings become payable 7 days after they are credited and are paid out through Stripe. We pay no commission for your own accounts, fake or duplicate accounts, refunded or reversed payments, or referrals obtained through spam or misleading claims. If you are paid or rewarded for promoting UniSwipe, make clear that it is advertising. We may withhold commission in case of abuse, and we may change or end the programme with reasonable notice; commission you have already earned is not affected.
